Having just cruised on the Symphony of the Seas to the Western Caribbean 1/18-1/25/2020, it was difficult to come home to say the least. Sailing on the largest cruise ship in the world (at least for now) was amazing.

The ship itself is a destination. From a Broadway show to a comedy club, the Aqua theatre and standup comedy show there was always something to do. There was also a Jazz Club.

In my opinion Royal Caribbean has the best children’s programs. I say this even though we did not have children with us.

There are many different dining options from the main dining room to Coastal Kitchen for suite guests, Chops which is the steak house. This was our best meal. There was also 150 Central which was American and Jamie’s which is Italian. There is also Izumi which is Japanese. You can either have sushi or sit at the hibachi table which is what we did one night. There is also Sorrento’s which is pizza.

We sailed from Miami to Roatan, Honduras, Costa Maya, Mexico, Cozumel and a Perfect Day at Cococay. While our shore excursion in Roatan was a disappointment, we more than made up for it on our excursion in Costa Maya to the Mayan Ruins. In Cozumel we did some shopping and went back to the ship. In Cococay we sent the day on the beach and ate lunch there as well. As always the two days at sea were enjoyable and relaxing.

I certainly recommend Royal Caribbean for couples young and older as well as families and singles.
